The following publication formats are collected at the IfZ library:

As of January 2019, there are approx. 387,000 entries in the online catalog. Around 3,000 books, journals, and electronic media are added each year, with approximately 2,000 articles made accessible.

About a quarter of the inventory consists of foreign-language publications, mostly British or American, French, and Italian in origin. In recent years, the proportion of publications from Eastern European countries has increased steadily, partly through exchanges. Polish and Russian research is particularly well represented in the inventory.
