Research and Scholarly Edition Projects
The Leibniz Institute for Contemporary History’s research profile spans the entire history of Germany in the 20th and 21st centuries as well as its European and global connections.
Its fields of expertise can be divided into four areas of focus:

Since its founding, the IfZ has, moreover, regularly produced and published exemplary scholarly editions of historical documents in order to make them accessible to the academic and general public.
