Raffaele Sclarandi is a student at the Faculty of Law of the University of Milan. He is currently working on his degree thesis entitled "Profiles of substantial and procedural illegitimacy of the Adolf Eichmann trial", which deals with the legal analysis of the intricate dynamics that marred the proceeding, with the aim of scrutinizing it through the lens of international criminal law and comparing it with Israeli, Italian and European legal frameworks.

He won a university scholarship that allows him to spend a period of research at the Center for Holocaust Studies at the Leibniz Institute for Contemporary History.

His research at the Institute is directed towards meticulously reconstructing the historical, political, and legal context surrounding Eichmann's conviction.
